Kind of a simple thing to get free green onions. They are not that expensive to buy but are not always available.

If you save the bottom part of a group of green onions they re-grow very easy. Just place them in a cup and change out the water every day so it doesn't stink.

You will have a new set within a week. Cut and repeat.

I love green onions, and use them a lot, I prefer the Mexican green onions/ Cebollas Cambray Asada / roasted onions. Brush on equal parts Maggi sauce, or Worcestershire sauce, I prefer the Maggi's, then Soy sauce, Lime juice, and black pepper, and char them over a charcoal grill, they are awesome. I haven't planted a garden in the past three years, when I did, I had a whole section of just Cambray onions. I would dehydrate the tops and save them in an airtight jar for soups and stews.
