For my recteq brothers and sisters, I was looking around their website and realized that they stopped selling the Flagship 1100. Now they have the 1600. Looks like the only real change is it's taller and has 3 levels you can put food on now. My only concern is being able to get replacement parts for my 1100 if needed but I know customer service is very very good.

Also noticed they made a gas grill pellet smoker combo. Not sure how well the gas parts will last but will keep an eye out if it gets good reviews.

Yea I don't plan on upgrading any time soon but have noticed that they are coming out with bigger and better. My friend got the 700 some years ago and when I went to buy the flagship, it was taller and came with the heave duty base.

Guess they realized that people wanted even more room.

I doubt there will be an issue getting parts. They seem to use the same controller and probes in all/most of them. I am confident the heat deflector is also universal.

I have an RT 700 that is well over a decade old. The fancy new ones look nice, but my "old" Rec Teq is still going strong. They replaced a couple probes and a heat deflector. The probes: I asked how to calibrate as they were not reading the same. They sent new ones. Easy fix.

What are you worried about parts wise?

on the 1600 - how did they get dual grease buckets on there...

Them new fangled one are getting spendy! Sheesh.
