Help! Should I get the Rec Tec with a cover, 240 pounds of pellets, grilling mats, maverick 732, and a smoke tube for $1550?Or a Yoder YS640 with a cover? I'm torn.
They are both great pit's!! I have had my YS640 for about a month now and just love it!! If you decide to go with the 640 I would highly recomend getting the extra shelf, gives you allot more room and also allows you to place foil pans under your meat for realy easy clean up. As I am sure you have read the Yoder is one heavy duty pit they aren't BSing when they say it is built like a tank!! What ever you decide as with any smoker or grill there is a learning process, but I will say that my Maverik 732 temp.probes and the Yoder are the best investments I have made into this wounderful lifestyle that is SMOKING!
As Red and Wolf said, you can't go wrong with either one. I have had my YS640 since March and love it. I ordered my YS640 with the second shelf, probe port, Grill Grates and a half palette of pellets. With shipping to PA it was just under 2K. If you are on Facebook there is a Yoder YS Pellet Grill group with quite a few members. Good luck whatever you decide.
Very tough choice.....very tough. Yoder, of course made in the US but Rec Tec has a great rep and a good warranty and that's a lot of goodies offered with it......Willie
Well Rec tec it is. Thanks guys. Yoder is top notch. But I sure do like the goodies I will get with the tec. Especially the thermometer. I need a good one.
