Wife and I were tired of the stuff they call "burger" at the store. Lots of fat. Bad taste. (unless you buy the really good stuff)

Since the kitchen aid blew and I got a new grinder, Chuck, Round or what ever is on sale goes into the Grinder. Excellent ground beef and only $2.29/#.

Most of you probably do this already, but it is new to me so I'm passing it on to others who have not considered this use of their grinder.

Gotta agree, nothing like home ground.  You got to watch how lean you go.  Too lean and it won't grill right on the barbie, too dry.  And look, you're one step closer to making your own sausage.  I'm off to your garlic thread to see if you've got an answer for me, otherwise I've got a guestion for you.
