Hope everyone is well. Following on from my last question around cold smoked trout...... if I have frozen the fillets and thawed them in a fridge for 24 hours prior to brining and smoking, is it possible (safe) to refreeze them after the smoking process? If so, is it best to vac pack them first and in people's experience, what is a realistic time they would keep?

I'm no fish expert. but I do it all the time with beef and pork.
I think vacuum sealing is a must to lengthen time in freezer.
No problems for me after a year in a freezer at -10f.
