Question on RF smoker build

I'm sure this question has been asked and answered somewhere but I have been reading all day and my eyes are starting to go all fuzzy so I will just ask it 

I"m building a large smoker and installing the digi q pit viper on it my question is

does anyone think I need to put any other intake vents on it or will the fan be good enough

my thought is its easier to put them on now and not use them but just wondering if its a waste of time

Yes build intakes on it same as u would if u didnt have the digi q. Never know when u wont have power for it or it fails to work properly. Or heck, you may want to cook with out the high tech stuff here and there.

Yes put them on. If I want to run very hot like for turkey's that don't need low and slow I will open mine to get temp higher.

One good thing about the intakes is, they are there if you need them, if for some reason your fan quit or something happened during a smoke you would have them.  I had rather have them and not need them rather than the other way around.
