Trying to do some research before purchasing (completely new to smoking). Its a little fuzzy for me if Masterbuilt has fixed some of the earlier reported problems with the Gen2. I think if I understood correctly there was issues with the heating element, that would often need replacing,.. not sure if this is still a problem, or was that a problem iwith Gen1,.. or is that just a general issue with all MES?
Also, anyone have concerns that they will eventually get rid of the Gen1 since they have the Gen2 out for sometime now? Just worried if I were to buy the older model that I eventually wouldn't be able to get replacement parts.
Any info on version comparison would be great thank you.
