Question for owners of Vacmaster Pro 350

How does the accessory hose work? Meaning is it retractable and always attached to the unit or do you have to get it out and attach it every time you want to use it?

Currently we own a foodsaver and the hose is retractable, making it easy and convenient to use for all the containers we use for things like sugar, flour, rubs, bread crumbs, etc. Those of you with the 350 that use it to seal containers, what are your thoughts on it?

The hose is detached,and by far a way better machine than a food saver.
