Public groups?

Was lookin at my profile ( why, I dont know ) and it says
SMOKE FREAK is not a member of any public groups
Whats that mean????????

Good Question??? I was guessing like a Moose, Elk, or Mason member but then I started thinking "arent they private groups" .......
