Hi guys!

I'm from Chicago  and been wanting to smoke food like they did in my country in the Philippines for a long time. I got some recipes from the web to help me out but the outcome is still not the same as what I remember. I smoked fish primarily, hence, Tinapa which means "smoked fish" in the Philippines. I also started making homemade bacon, which didn't turned out too well. I have a Smokin-it brand of a smoker which I really like because of it being well insulated and I don't have to worry for my kids getting burn from touching it. I hope to learn from you guys!

Welcome to the group Tinapa!  You'll find that this is a great place to share ideas on smoking, grilling, etc.  There are plenty of folks here who genuinely enjoy helping one another.  Looking forward to your input, and just ask when you need anything...someone here will surely have the answer.
