Converted my Brinkmann Vertical to propane yesterday.....was very easy to do only took about 1 hour after I had everything I needed. Thanks to a post I had read I had purchased a nice gas burner at a very reasonable price on line http://www.savezoneusa.com/shop/step1.php?number=609. It has a small and larger burner that can be used independently from each other (electrostart lighting). While I was at it I also drilled a mounting hole for my "Smoke Daddy" www.smokedaddyinc.com. Can't wait to try it out. I have a GOSM propane also and want to see how this compares. I had previously added a seal to the door by cleaning the area with alchohol and applying a bead of clear silicone caulk where the door meets the cabinet....I then flattened the bead out slightly by wiping it with a wet finger.....WORKS GREAT! Waited 24 hrs for the caulk to cure. Today is New Years Day and I have a busy weekend, so guess I have just got to wait to try it out. May have to figure out a way to damper the air flow....got a couple of ideas if I need to do it......
