Picked up a Prime TT from Costco. Rubbed it with McCormick Toasted Garlic and Herb. Mixed with coffee. Set in fridge overnight. Pulled about 3 hours before placing on grill. Indirect on ssp with about 25 coals in each side of water pan. Approx 45 minutes. Didn’t check temp as that’s the perfect time for us . Medium Rare. Great flavor….not really any better than choice TT from Costco.

Looks to be cooked perfectly! TT’s are great. Can you tell the difference between choice and prime…I think its debatable on the designation alone. I think the buyer needs to make an inspection as well.

WaterRat WaterRat from all my reading on SMF TT’s are very regionally avaI’ll.and not avail. Meaning some part of the country never have them while other parts have them in abundance. Here in UT - i can get one at Costco or Kroger any day and time. But I think the further east its almost impossible to find in person. A few guys on here just mail order them.

Looks great! what state are you in? Here in NY Costco only occasionally has preseasoned ones (think over salted) Otherwise I need to get 7 at a time from Restaurant depot or have a friend "import" them from a CA Costco.

Yeah, unfortunately I’m aware of this great injustice. I may file a human rights complaint with, uhhh, never mind.... I’ll just grab a beer to drown my sorrows... 🤣
