Honestly I’m a string guy but in the move not sure were my bundle of string went hiding so I grabbed the skewers. They actually did pretty dang good and were simple and quick! I will probably use them for boneless butt again.

I'm curing out a boneless butt for buckboard. It will get stringed. I don't think skewers will hold it together

I would agree for curing, I would go string.
