OK. I agree the new format is bright and pretty.

Now aside from that, can someone explain--in simple words so this techno dinosaur can understand--why I should be tickled pink with the change.

How's it going to improve things for me??
How's it going to make my life easier??
How's it going to enhance my visits here?
And any other how's its I might have missed.

Like anything new. You just have to play on it. Yes it might be a pain learning a new version. But it is better. Improve things? That takes a few to see for yourself. Enhance you visiting? Again give it time. Play on it. You will get the hang of it. Ask questions like you are doing. Lots of help in here. Try not getting frustrated with it. Walk away and take a breath.

I really enjoyed when i loaded up smokingmeatforums, it would show me all threads i had subscribed too. To navigate back to that page all i had to do is click the SMF banner

Does anyone know how to view subscriptions now?

Looks like we went back in time
Navigation is hard subscriptions you can not unsubscribe from ( I can't find it)
Pic posting the PC use to do now we have to do what the PC use to do

I think we will all get used to it. I don't think it is fully installed yet.

It runs alot better for me than the old platform . I sure hope it gets to a point where you are happy with it again . I'm sure it will .

I found alot of things by lookin , only to forget how I found it , but it's there . The rest is being worked on I think .

Thanks everybody. It was probably just frustration last night.
It took me 3 tries to get this thread to post, 2 more trìes in the test area to get a picture to upload, and then when I finally got the post to load I ended up with a double avatar on my post. Not real happy so far.

Also. I spend most of my time here on my phone. When I click on a post, the lines of text are so close together that rather than click on the topic I end up clicking on the poster's name and get the posters personal info instead of the thread. Just a PIA.

Ok I have a question with the new site. When I am logged in. If I hit the smoking meat banner at the top of the screen. It takes me back to the home page but also logs me out. Same thing if I push the home key. Does anyone else have this issue? Before if you hit the banner it would take you to the home page with the carousel and I would still be logged in.

The quick navigation panel. Press Home. First one on top. And it goes to home screen great. But I am shown as not logged in. If I go to see who's online. It shows me as logged in. Yet my pic at the very top next to the mail icon is gone. Strange.

Yep. I thought that to so I made sure I have the box checked before I hit the login button.

When you log in does your name and password automatically fill in
If so there is a little box that says stay logged in check that

I also noticed that not one alert get sent to my email address. either for new threads or any replies like with the old platform. When I go to my settings. Everything is setup correctly.

Yes sir. The auto fill does my name and password. Thats when I also make sure the stay logged in is checked.
