I started a "no knead" dough early last week. So last night was family pizza night. I have not made many doughs before and this was really the first time experimenting with a dough like this .I found a pizza stone and a peel frim a local pizza supply and we were ready to go.....(i was prepared to order pizza if this didnt turn out lol!)
I did have some beginners issues..the biggest one beeing getting the dough to not stick to the peel without using a bunch of flour. And not getting the bottom of the pie to get a nice brown crust. ( not sure if that's from using too much flour to keep from sticking or not)
Even with the beginning issues we turned out some good pies. I set the oven to the highest setting(525°) with the pizza stone on the bottom rack. Once pre heated I turned the broiler to high(500°) slid the pie in and baked for about 7-8 min.
Started out with the boys making theirs first.
Pepperoni ,sausage and black olive. Whole milk mottzerella
Little man Knox helping big Bro Ryder build the pie! I think he ate as many toppings as he put on lol!
Theirs out of the oven
The next one we made was a buffalo chicken. Ranch/cream cheese base, smoked chicken thighs , Frank's, blue cheese crumbles and whole milk motzzarella.
Then we couldn't go without making my favorite... Margarita
Crushed tomato, sliced romas, fresh mottzerella and basil
And last but not least...something a little different. Ivy saw a recipe for this and wanted to try it out.
Strawberry, goat cheese, parmisian...then when it came out it was topped with fresh basil and a drizzling of balsamic glaze. I was not too sure about it ....but man it was good!!
Well thats all the pizzas! Had a great night making them with the family..we will be doing more in the near future!
Thanks for taking a look!
