Hello all. Just got an Austin XL the other day and smoked ribs tonight and they were great. I'm smoking a whole bunch of boneless chicken breast and legs for church tomorrow and I have a question. I know internal temp of 165, but how long will that take? I've read 1 hr to 6 hrs. I'll be smoking about 45 to 50 pieces of chicken. Does having multiple pieces raise the cooking time? They are in a brine now, but any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Give them a hour on smoke setting then watch the internal temps after you move the temp to 350 to crisp the skin,I have not done pieces only whole birds on mine, probaly wont matter that you have a pile on there just ck with a good thermometer wife bought some legs and thighs and I may try those this afternoon.good luck let us know how it turned out

Also dont be afraid to crank it up to 400+ and done in 2 hrs or less if your in a time crunch and being brined will help keep the meat moist
