Hello, I am new the forum and in the market for a budget pellet pooper. I was going to get a used Traeger Lil Tex for $300 from a premium Traeger dealer but after some research, the internet has turned me away. I've looked around and found that I am looking at the different variants of Pit Boss 700/1000s. I found a PB 1000T2 at Tractor Supply for $440 but there is almost no reviews or info on any forums about it. Its not listed on PBs website so I take its a discontinued model hence the low price.
I see Walmart has the Classic 700 and Austin XL which seems to be boasted a lot here. I really want the Pro Series from Lowes but they dont have any in stock at my local Lowes so I would have to order online but $550 is outside my price range as I would need to get a cover and put in a new grill pad in the backyard as my propane and Bradley EL smoker are stored in the garage.
I see that the 1000T2 has the standard controller than the others that have the horizontal 2 probe controllers. Anyone have any experience with the 2 and if one is better than the other?
