Phone Link for texting on PC/Laptop

I may be late to the party, but windows/microsoft make an app called phone link (free) and you can link iPhone and Android to your laptop/pc and text or call from it! its quite cool!

I use this app mostly to copy photos from my phone to my laptop, and to reply to text messages when I'm using my laptop. The app is a little weak when it comes to remembering contacts, the memory must only hold the last 20 or so contacts.
