So I've been smoking on my Pit Boss for almost 2 years now and have tried many different "flavor" of pellets. My pallet is that of a wild goat so I don't get the nuances of say a cherry or hickory pellet as most. I'm doing some jerk chicken thighs tomorrow with some Royal Oak charcoal pellets. I'm hoping for that flavor from back when dad would grill out back in the 60s/70s. Has anyone tried charcoal pellets ? Will report back next week with the results.
