Not sure where to ask this question so here I am.

I had to cut down a healthy peach tree the other day and I have a respectable quantity of wood from it for smoking. It's a nice mellow smoke much like apple.

So, since I have a bunch for myself, I was wondering if I could share some with others. Of course, the shipping would be the worst part but if we use USPS flat rate boxes etc. it wouldn't be too bad. At present it's all in big chunks, if I was to split it into small usable pieces I would want something for my time but not so much if you just want chunks.

Tell me your opinions for this idea and any suggestions you have or if I'm totally out of my gourd. I just hate to see good smoking wood go to waste.

P.S. I'm going to cut down a healthy apple tree in the near future.

Thanks,

Gene

The prices and sizes are listed at USPS.com. I would pack them as full as I could and still get them closed. Since I have long pieces of trunk and branches I could cut them to fit the box chosen.

Don't forget to season it up some outside so it burns good. I bet if u post your location some locals would come get it for sure

I gave away my supply of fruit woods and hardwoods using the same method. A large flat rate box is about $19.00 shipped anywhere in the country. However my wood was in usable chunks.

I advertised it in the Classified section under "Free Fruit Woods and Hardwoods"

Good luck,

John
