Most pike are eating machines. Not uncommon have one bite your lure off and you catch it later with lure still in mouth.

Yeah we do, but not in my area thankfully! I did see and kill one on a camping trip to northern PA a few years ago, but nothing that big!You have timber rattlers in PA, I know not near as deadly as this one.
Really? A largemouth? You can't be seriousLooks like a large mouth bass to me? If not, I have no clue what it is. If you are keeping the little ones start releasing them. Best way to get bigger fish in a body of water. If it is a large mouth, I'll be brutally honest with you. A 16 incher is pretty small to mount on the wall.
Edit, just noticed you posted up while I was replying. I take back everything above. A 16 inch crappie is well worth mounting, and eating!
Calm down, and I'm serious!Really? A largemouth? You can't be serious
Growing up, crappie and bream (bluegill) were all we fished for. We didn't measure the length, but my dad would weigh the big ones. Biggest I ever caught was 2lbs. 15oz. and it got cleaned and fried. Always said that if I caught one over 3lbs. I'd mount it. Now I very rarely have the opportunity to fish for them...you guys catch these where you fish?

Heck ya!! I’m an avid bow hunter and love to cook wild game. Some pics of my son and I on a pheasant hunt, and a couple deer we bagged hanging in the cool bot walk in cooler in my barn.Hey all, so just curious if anyone would be interested in participating in a hunting and fishing thread…
ALL wild game and fishing… Hopefully this can be an ongoing thread if you all are interested! It just came to my mind that a lot of us here are sportsman/women! So why not have a thread where we can share our hunts and catches!
I will start and hope some of you will share yours as well!
