Good afternoon

How big of a patty do you recommend for smash burgers?

4 oz? Smaller?

I would prefer to double patties up than have thicker (less classic smash burger).

Same here, 4-6 oz tops for a perfect smash burger.
By the way, I am new to the craze, but we are sold on them. So good!!

We just did up a batch, we do 'em at 3.3oz, after a little experimentation.

But... that is for double-patty, double-cheese burgers. On a grilled brioche.

Are you doing for singles or doubles?

Here were my last ones:

Thanks everyone! I’m thinking 4oz should be good. I like a double, but 4oz should be good for singles for the kids.

I don't weigh them but I do make them from home ground chuck - fairly thin and square to fit my bread.

I went with 4oz patties tonight, and they were great. Thanks again!
