MMM!  That looks great.

St Pattys coming up and corned beefs will be on sale for those who want to do it the easy way.

Last year we bought them at $1.48 per lb on sale.  It will be interesting to see how much they go up this year?

I might lay in about a dozen.

Good luck and good smoking.

I'm holding out for the March sales but you're makin' it tough Roller! Looks too good...JJ

Man that is a real nice looking hunk o meat. Did you do the soak first to pull out some of the salt and other spices or just rub it and smoke it ?

I did a soak on it first because they are usually a little to salty for my taste straight from the package...For store bought it came out real good. I have had 3 Sammies out of it today...The next one I do I am going to corn it myself and use a bottom round .

I usually end up buying like 6 or so corn beefs around st patties. I think this might be a project for one or two of them.

I have never seen corned points...wish they did make them 'cause I like the texture is so much better than flats...JJ

The grocery store where I am at also has corned beef points as well as the brisket around St. Patty's day.  I make pastrami burnt ends out of the points that are awesome.

Oh my that looks delish! I can get corned points (I think these were $2.00 lb)and flats ($1.49 lb) here. Bought a half dozen of each last yr but never thought of making pastrami...thanks for the great idea.
