Just a note on some things Cooking Too Fast...TURN THE GRIDDLE TEMP DOWN!

Come on Jimmy...give me more credit than that please :emoji_astonished: Everything that I've cooked on this thing since the day I got it has been cooked on the absolute lowest temp setting on the dial. I've never had it higher than that except to light it, which is required. Thanks for the input though :emoji_laughing: I do wish there was a way to go with lower temps. I might have to tear it apart and see what I can come up with.

Thank you Steve!! You back from The Falls or still up there roughing it on the Canadian border?

Robert

I'm back! Had a great time. But missed my own cooking. I always do if I'm at a place where I can't cook at least half the time.

Hey Buddy, I was seriously just teasing. I meant no offense. Guess I need to use Emojis more. :emoji_blush: You could easily step into any Restaurant and impress with your amazing talent for creating beautifully prepared food. You have all my Respect and a bit of envy. I can cook anything but I have always been Horrible at coming up with new ideas for Specials.:emoji_sob::emoji_laughing:...JJ

How do you come up with all these great ideas! man - you are on-fire!

...I was in the pool with the mandatory afternoon margarita(s) after our friend dropped off the tomatoes. for some unknown reason the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" popped into my mind. I have no idea where it came from as I never saw the movie. Then I started thinking about fried tomatoes. Hmmm
At this stage, only thing that would pop into my head would be bloody mary...:emoji_nerd:

Thank you Bear. I understand and respect your aversion to onions but we kinda like them...and they are used a LOT around here. Appreciate the kind words sir.

Robert
We buy them by the 50 lbs bag lol. I’ve got a bag of Colossals right now. They are way bigger than softballs and super sweet.

Lots of guys adapted a Needle Valve to get low temps on their Propane Smokers. Your Griddle may benefit as well...JJ

Very creative Robert! You rock. Looks great. Thanks for sharing, there seems no end in sight with what you can do on that Griddle. Enjoy.

Jimmy my friend...no harm, no foul, no offense taken, and no apology necessary sir. I knew you were joking. That's why I tried to make a joke out of it. You've seen enough of my follies to give credit for me at least knowing enough to turn the heat down :emoji_wink: Truth be told if there's a way to undelete your post I'd ask that you please do it as a reference for people who may be thinking about getting one of these griddles. It'd give a bit of insight to one of the pitfalls to be aware of while going through the learning curve. You could add the emojis if/when you put it back up.

Truly appreciate the kind words but they may be a bit of s stretch :emoji_laughing: My knowledge of food doesn't even scratch the surface of what you share here. I just work with what little I know and try to make some fun and interesting meals. As stated above, if there is any way to put the post back up there, I'd encourage you to please do so.

Thank you Dave, but I honestly don't know where these all come from. Maybe margaritas are a mind altering hallucinogenic like LSD :emoji_wink:

Not really thinking so, but ya never know....

HA!! If you and Steve H Steve H hooked up we'd just have to fill the pool with Bloody Marys. I can see y'all going up to the bar and ordering 18,000 gallons of Bloody Marys. That'd keep the staff busy for a few minutes :emoji_laughing:

Very creative indeed. All of this Blackstone stuff makes me want to get one. Not sure how much I’d use it though. Have a good Father’s Day!

Thanks so much Derek. I questioned how much I'd use it also but as cheap as it was, I figured I'd just use it once in a while for something quick and easy. With the versatility of them however I've found myself expanding and finding more and more ways to keep it in the cooking rotation. You too have a happy Father's Day!!
