not smoked, pan fried, added some bone sucking sauce spice to the panko crumbs,   its good but it has that  'not fresh but frozen taste'    low heat turning often



 
I friggin love panko bread crumbs, nice looking meal

so do i, its better in some ways then the shore line batters.  
 
Looks great! Don't know about the barbecue sauce though...I like malt vinegar!
hello there,    you mean like Long john's  malt vinegar?  i love that too,   i had an original bottle of that malt vinegar from the mid or late 70's

Moines IOWA got there first long johns on  63rd st  around 1970-75,  in the area of the Val Air Ballroom,   in the last few years i remembered and never found it again,  no idea were that went to.

never put BBQ sauce on fish,  im open to try it tho,   Cookies BBQ sauce jumps to mind  its on the sweet side.

would be interesting to find a  BBQ/tarter sauce just for fish.
