Panama City Beach Fishing And Cooking Your Catch!

Hey all and good morning!

Having some coffee…enjoyed the sunrise over the Teton Range… that never gets old… and my thoughts got to me…

I’ve heard of places in PCB that you can go fish and then have your catch cooked for you.

I’d love to go fish while down there… but living in SE ID would not want the hassle of trying to bring the catch home.

Can anyone recommend a charter and place to enjoy the catch cooked down in PCB?

Can't recommend a place but when we were in the keys a few months ago, wife and I caught some mahi mahi. Had a beach front restaurant cook our catch any way we want with sides for $16 per person.

I can't speak to PCB specifically, but it the 'cook your catch' is common up and down the Gulf of America. Maybe the local marina restaurant? Or call ahead and ask around....

I live here on the Gulf in Mobile, AL, and it's been my experiences elsewhere that about 50% or better will if given notice, and for a reasonable fee.
Most places prefer fillets, but some will do whole, have it cleaned and ready to cook.

Words of warning and wisdom, you'll likely not get the entirety of what you bring in on your plate.
The chefs are gonna want a taste too, I mean they have to do quality control... Right

It is considered polite to provide them with a fish/fillet or two as a gratuity.

Justin, switch your vacation to where John lives in Mobile... betting you could get some great meals and see a mighty fine collection of guns... well I've heard he has a couple anyways!

When I was stationed in TX we'd road trip down to Port Aransas and fish PINS. There was a dude right next to this crap-hole motel we stayed at and he would cook up everything all you had to do was bring the beers and booze and he was happy to do it.

I can attest that fresh caught fish are the best! Can't help you though on how to get it cooked but it sounds like Chili has you covered.
