This place is GREAT!!! Mention you like heat and then there's a care package in the mailbox. Thanks Again Smoking B!!!! Now I just need to decide what to mix up first. I was thinking about doing injected wings on Saturday, I may have to do that, and make up a partial batch of OMG these wings are HOT!!!

Those are way hotter then I can do......

I once was stupid and tries a tiny piece of a Ghost Chili........ Wholy cow I felt it for hours on my tonge and then well you know........

We put hot chile's in almost everything. I'll be making some fire water with some of these for sure, great on rice, eggs, quinoa, rice noodles, fish, Loco Moco, beef, pork, chicken... Funny thing is my fiance handles the heat better than I do! But I can do Habanero!!!

A few years back I was laid off. Instead of collecting unemployment I went to work for a friend of mine who's a contractor on the Big Island, Hawaii ( I know rough). The project I was managing was above Kona in Holualoa. The owners were gone for the two month renovation and asked that I harvest and take whatever was in the garden. There were two really nice pepper plants, tiny little peppers like Thai peppers. I eat Thai peppers all the time. So one day during a lunch break I ventured out, plucked one off the plant, not very big mind you, I about died!!! Holy Smokes it was Hot!!! Come to find out it's a Hawaiian (or so told to me) variety that is quite a bit hotter!

You have to be careful with them. The Bhut Jolokia can cause really intense pain - to the point of blisters or tongue being sore for several days after eating - in people who aren't used to tons of heat. I have had them several times but have never eaten more than half of one all by itself & I was still on fire 1/2 hour later from it. The pain lasted a good 20 minutes till it subsided but man are they good! I am trying to get my hands on some Moruga Scorpions. Now that would be intense!

WOW! looks at those chilis! Habanero is still a bit much for me, but I'm finding myself drawn to them more and more as I get older. I'm interested to see what you come up with. Good luck.

I read somewhere that we loose over half our taste buds as we age. Could it be that my love for the hot stuff is just compensating for what I have burned out in my younger days? Oh, who cares, bring 'em on.

I try to get away with adding the heat...but it usually ends up with people saying "why would you do that??" Haha so I have to keep it edible now.

Oh man......  now you have done it.

That many Hab's in a single bag qualifies as a weapon of mass destruction.  You're gonna be on the no fly list for sure now.

When the kids are eating what I'm cooking I typically have to dumb down the spice too! Otherwise its full on fire mode!!!

LOL- well I knew something was up with my tastebuds a few years ago when I started eating a whole jar of horseradish with one steak or prime rib cut. I love how horsey-heat hits you hard and then is gone in a flash. Peppers have a much better flavor, but that lingering tingle on the tongue can get to me sometimes. Oh well, I'll get there eventually. For now, I'll just have to feel tough eating my jalapenos!

I make a fresh habanero salsa.  It's hot!  My oldest Daughter and Son will eat it like candy.  Some of our friends say it's not hot enough.  I do love Horseradish...have a white sauce with that and I love that heat!
