I was born and raised in Los Angeles, my Mom is from Carthage TX that's East TX. I have learned the ways of Q-ing from there. We have a sauce that has been handed down only to the men in family. My grand parents would hunt and raise all of there food. My mom is now living with me in Oxnard, she was born in 1922. I'm here because I decided to get serious about Q-ing. I am always told that my Q is like WOW! I feel partly because in Cali there are no serious Q-ers here. In fact I went to a place in San Diego....... not going to mention the name but it was on man verse food, and I found it to be a notch above average at best. So I'm here to grow as a Q-er, I know the ppl here take their food seriously so feel free to PM me the secrets that you don't want everyone to know lol. One thing that I am at a disadvantage at, is wood selection, so if anyone knows the area where I'm at and have some places where I can get a wide selection let me know. Thanks for reading
