Hey all, as some know and I assume some also don’t know. Our Admin is the best and they do so to keep this site running without disruption from trollers and folks for some reason that would want to derail what we have here as a BBQ fam.

They do so because of their passion to help and their willingness to take time out from their loved ones and their lives to help make ours here better. They truly care.

So, our Admin are the best! One who is humble and would not like me to name him, not because I asked him… I didn’t… I just know him and his humble nature. He saved me tonight from a screenshot I posted. Fortunately, we have been friends for quit some time and he seen my mistake, pointed it out and helped me fix it.

I was in an auto accident last August that has totally changed my world… I’ve not been the same.

Reason I bring that up, is at times you feel very vulnerable at times. And not feeling yourself, but still wanting to participate on the forum.

It sure means a lot to have an amazing Admin that looks out for our well being… cause sometimes we struggle… still want to participate… but slip up and need a helping hand.

I could not be more grateful to be part of an amazing community. And our Admin again is second to none.

Definitely feel for ya Justin. Struggles can be tough and it sure is comforting to have a great Admin who recognizes value even under tough conditions. So pleased to hear you were taken care of in an hour of need. Keep your head up bud, we all are pulling for you!

Matt

Agreed! The is a wonderful community and family. The admins keep it clean and step in appropriately, which is good for us all.

Hope you are continuing to improve from the accident.

So THAT's why we dont have any nasty trolls! Great job, y'all.

What impresses me is they keep it clean yet do allow some "adult" conversations. When I slipped up one time (I think it was getting too close to political) I was contacted directly, privately, nicely to be told about it bieng removed. THAT's something you dont get, almost anywhere. Usually your post is just axed with no explanation so you can "behave" going forward knowing what you did wrong.

I'm glad they police that here. It's real easy for us to slip-in our political views and not think about it; it just comes out automatically for some of us. Politics can ruin everything, and I am glad to be reminded to keep that stuff out of here. I have a great neighbor, who I dont see eye to eye with on some things politically. I really try to be careful what I say to him because I dont want to ruin a great friendship/neighborship. I have a tendency to run my mouth just like my words look here, so its hard to censor myself!

You do have angels.

The Admin's do a great job keeping this site on track and focused on what's important. The SMF family, and all things grilling and smoking. I'm thankful for the effort they put in, and for keeping us from getting out of hand. A big thumbs up. 👍👍👍

This has truly ruined many a good site.I was a long standing member of a fishing forum for close to two decades and the site owner allowed 5 individuals to simply take over the site to the point they bullied anyone who didn't except their way of thought.Funny how that site now only has 5 active members.

Glad the SMF admin/mods deal with these issues fairly so that garbage doesn't happen here.
