Nice! Sounds like you had fun, makes it even more fun when you actually catch something.

Tip glad to see ya got to spend the day with the boys and have some fun!!

Looks like a great day Tip!.. What did you use for bait? When I was a kid we grew up on a lake, and I think the Bluegills, and all the other Sunfish ate every kind of bait, and plastic lure I had. Except for Shiners and minnows, they were too big for the Sunnies to hit on. When I set out to catch sunnies on purpose, I never used anything but a hook with a rolled up piece of bread on it. Those boys just couldn't stand it.

Never ate them though. We had Perch, Bass, and Pickeral in our lake. Sunfish just looked like too much work cleaning for so little meat.

Funny, that jogged a memory. Folks could come to our lake, rent a boat and go fishing. When they went home, it they had any "Shiners" (small bait minnows) left, they'd dump them in the lake. We had a large population of shiners. When they were grown, I guess they were about 8 inches long, maybe 1/2 pound. Fun to catch, but no one ate them.

dont get much better than that Tip. Nice catch.

We used crawlers an a tiny little orange grub on the end. Worked like magic, ya hit the right spot an the bobber was gone fer ya could trip the bail!

Alot of people say they are too much trouble, too many bones...blah...blah...blah. To me they be some fine eating.
