One Small Prime Rib Equals 3 Ribeyes & some Dinos
We ran out of Ribeyes, but we still had a few Prime Ribs in the Freezer.
So Christmas week, they had a sale on Prime Rib & limit of One, so I turned one into 3 Nice Ribeyes and some Dinos for the Freezer.
So I cut the bones off first, leaving some extra meat on the bone side of the cut.
Then I sliced the rest into 3 nice Ribeyes, and into the Freezer.
So now it’s time to Grill one of those Ribeyes.
Let’s go with the Ninja Foodi XL Smart Grill, and let’s use the “Smart Sensor”.
So I put the Sensor in the Steak, and turned the Ninja on & selected “Grill”.
Then I set it for 126°, to allow for carry-over.
After a 10 minute Preheat, the Grill said “Add Food”, so I added the Steak.
Then at 95° IT the Ninja said “Flip Food”, so I did that.
Then a little while later it said “REST”, so I put the Steak on a plate, leaving the sensor in it.
Then after a 5 minute rest, I removed the sensor at 139° IT. Just Right !!
I cut it up for Me & The Missus, and added Baked Tater & Broccoli.
Everything was Mighty Tasty, except this was the Toughest Ribeye we’ve ever had!
This was a Select Rib Roast, but I’ve had Select before & I couldn’t tell them from Choice.
Great !!! That means the other 2 that I cut from that Prime Rib I got back in December are gonna be tough!
I might have to do something about that !!!
Thanks for Looking,
Bear
