One Small Prime Rib Equals 3 Ribeyes & some Dinos

We ran out of Ribeyes, but we still had a few Prime Ribs in the Freezer.
So Christmas week, they had a sale on Prime Rib & limit of One, so I turned one into 3 Nice Ribeyes and some Dinos for the Freezer.
So I cut the bones off first, leaving some extra meat on the bone side of the cut.
Then I sliced the rest into 3 nice Ribeyes, and into the Freezer.

So now it’s time to Grill one of those Ribeyes.
Let’s go with the Ninja Foodi XL Smart Grill, and let’s use the “Smart Sensor”.
So I put the Sensor in the Steak, and turned the Ninja on & selected “Grill”.
Then I set it for 126°, to allow for carry-over.
After a 10 minute Preheat, the Grill said “Add Food”, so I added the Steak.
Then at 95° IT the Ninja said “Flip Food”, so I did that.
Then a little while later it said “REST”, so I put the Steak on a plate, leaving the sensor in it.
Then after a 5 minute rest, I removed the sensor at 139° IT. Just Right !!
I cut it up for Me & The Missus, and added Baked Tater & Broccoli.

Everything was Mighty Tasty, except this was the Toughest Ribeye we’ve ever had!
This was a Select Rib Roast, but I’ve had Select before & I couldn’t tell them from Choice.
Great !!! That means the other 2 that I cut from that Prime Rib I got back in December are gonna be tough!
I might have to do something about that !!!

Thanks for Looking,

Bear

Nice looking ribeyes John. I've got a couple Primes sitting in the freezer just waiting for the weather to warm up a bit.

Point for sure
Chris

Sure looks good . My kind of meal . I love the cold rare meat the next day for breakfast .
Maybe it was at the low end of the select scale .
SV ?
Thumps up on the leftover taters . Great way to reheat .

A couple of fine looking dinners Bear, the first nights looks done just right, Like! The second nights supper looks like it got heated up in the micro, I do that when I'm in a rush and sometimes for a hot sanny, tho these days I like the SV for reheating just about everything. SV would soften the ribeye up some too I'd think. RAY

Looks good Bear! Sucks the steak was tough though. Them taters sure look good!

Beautiful beef there John!! man im so hungry just looking at it!!

I agree with the nice looking taters, I just love next day seared spuds. The ribeye also looked mighty tasty as well. Nice work all around Bear!

Thank You Chris!!
65 here right now, but going back to 40s next week.
Looks like we're done with Snow for this Year, except for the Foot that is still on the Ground. So our Final total here was 74"----6'. 2"
And Thanks for the Like.

Looks delicious bear. Glad you're enjoying your new toy

Thank You Jake!!
This thing is really doing Great. I hate to say it, but I might end up sidelining My #360, and replacing it with this Ninja Grill. I hate to do that after so many guys followed my lead on that #360 Air Fryer.
And Thanks for the Like.

Crazy that those steaks were tough. Looked like great color all the way through. Something tells me u are a problem solver and will have a few good ribeyes ahead Bear!

Looks great Bear. Both meals look delicious, as usual. Love the grill marks from that Ninja. Weird that the Ribeye was tough. Maybe marinate the next one overnight? Great work, you're quickly mastering that new toy.
