Am I crazy? Maybe burned out from my partying days? It's OK to tell me.

But I have this tree...this is the view in the summer from my back deck...zoomed in so it's a little fuzzy...I swear there is a man's face in it!

Maybe I've "smoked" too much? Is it like the "looking at the clouds" thing where we can all imagine we see something? Rorschach test?

Very cool, I even see an ear directly right of the nose, and I don't smoke like I used too.
Not afraid to take a few rips, but these days it just isn't as fun as it once was for me. Furthermore, it makes me zone in on my back and neck pain, making it seem worse.

NH used to have the Old Man on the Mountain. He collapsed in 2003.

i had a friend that had a catalpa tree about 5' wide by the drive. on the house side there was a 3' long butt! looked just like cheeks bent over and sticking out. lol

Thanks y'all. So I'm not crazy...I've had that pic for a while, he's still there. I used to sit out on my back deck to smoke a tobacco cig (two a day, hand rolled, but quit even those last year), after some imbibing and partaking otherwise, and one day he came to my sight. We have an old logging trail through the woods here, been there for a long time, has sizeable trees growing right in the middle, so its been a while since any wagons or trucks have passed. I daydreamed that some guy got killed or died on the property and was manifested within the tree! O.K....maybe I am a little crazy...or is it the smoke?...I run my smoker out there too...

I saw it without the roadmap.
Reminds me of the face in the tree from the animated Pocahontas film.
I made the roadmap because I've had a hard time getting people to see it. I have had people stand right there from that angle on the deck and they look at me like I'm nuts...I mean, technically I am a little but I'm glad YOU could see it! I was cleaning up pics on my phone and ran across this pic.

I cant do it like I used to either. I cant imagine how people are walking around and driving doing it all day with the quality of stuff these days. And although I was a long time advocate, I always said the pain killing aspect of it was a ruse...as you describe, it only makes yours worse! My argument was always "if a person has terminal cancer, whats wrong with them bieng able to smile through the pain?".
That's pretty cool. He's keeping an eye out for deer, they love white oak acorns...
Is THAT whats bringing the herds in? I always thought it was my dads auto corn pooper over at his cabin next door!:emoji_laughing: He doesn't "hunt", he baits and waits, but I'm happy to eat the meat! He doesn't even care for it except the inner tenderloin right after a kill. I dont mind the kill, and we skin and butcher right here, a good father son activity. I just dont like getting up early and sitting in the cold for hours!...so, not much of a "hunter" myself.
