ok score on pair of brinkmans

gotta like craigs list. found a pair of brinkmans on there, $75 for the pair. needless to say, i loaded em up and brought em home. both are charcoal units.

sorry for the double post above.on too many pain killers last 2 days. as soon as this gout clears up 

OSBBQ, i PROMISE, some pics. the one i posted above was from the CL add. can't get my wheely chair out on the porch to get a current pic of them. im like a kid in a candy store with NO $$$ in my poclet. the brinkmans are sitting on the trailer, my amnps arrived yesterday and i can still barely get out of the dadgum bed...

Awesome deal! I have the same Brinkmann split door, add a new thermometer and charcoal basket and you'll be good to go. Enjoy them!

bullfrog, thanks for the heads up on those mods. the charcoal box is almost a joke. 4 nice angled sides but the grate on bottom is joke. few cross bars from what i remember, spaced a inch or so apart. don't know if its origina or not, but its getting changed. hoping to get a thermometer for it this weekend. what part of VA you in? I'm 90 miles west of Bristol, just south of Ewing.

I'm about 30 minutes east of Richmond, heading towards the Northern Neck. I am now contemplating building an expanded metal fire box to replace my grill wok I use now. This will allow me to burn longer without tending the fire.

cool. i was through richmond a month or so ago. i'm going to try my hand at smoking again and see if i can even pull it off. 

 im going to try laying some xpanded metal across the bottom of whatever i have in it and see how it works. if it doesn't work, i'll take the wife's grill wok....
