I am wondering how much you guys would think my smoker build is worth? I am not trying to make a mint . It burns a runs good. Can cook alot of foods it huge!!!! I have made some of the best food to date on this and it’s a bummer I am asking this. Reason for this thought of selling is my house was flooded a week ago. I put my sxs up for sale but it’s not really getting any hits . So maybe this would sell. I don’t want to sell it but I might have to. I am looking for a ball park. I know a lot of u will say what do u have in it and I get that as well and I will be taking that into consideration as I go. It has 1458 sq in of cooking space on top grates and 1838 sq in of space on bottom grates. Ther are sliding grates also. The fire box has a v basket and an ash pan. The last pics are its current state yes it needs a pressure washing after the flood but I did flush and rinse the inside already. Here’s the build Incase u want more info.
Thanks as always for any help any one can give.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I hope everything works out for you. I have no idea about smoker value, it looks like a mighty nice stick burner,

Thanks it’s a beast for sure. Made some great que on it so far and not my choice to see about selling it but kinda getting low on options before the winter hits in a few months.

Ah heck Irvin! That’s some terrible news!

Yeah it is some BS for sure. The flood could have been worse like the neighbors farther down than me. It’s life not much I can do and right now these r the choice I have to make to get it fixed back up. Thanks tho.

Sorry to hear your troubles Irvin! It's hard to put a price on a personal passion project like that smoker. What I'd probably do is look at commercial smokers that are comparable to get an idea of what new smokers of that size are bringing. For example, a new Lang 60 - which seems pretty close in size to your pit - goes for about $6500. Not a true comparison, because the Lang 60 is mounted on a trailer, but gives you an idea. And although it's probably not reasonable to ask as much for a homemade build as a commercial pit might bring, it does get you in the ballpark.

Thanks I will certainly need to do that and yeah the not being on a trailer part makes it harder to compare cause normally this size one is on a trailer. I need to also sit down and get a look at what I think I have into it also. Thanks a lot.

+1 on comparing to commercial pits.

First thought that came to me is consider opening up the deal for trades like a motorcycle/boat/etc. Then sell THAT for cash. With a little luck the trade could be worth more than cash for smoker deal.

Not a bad idea

Sorry to hear . Don't know what smoker would be worth. Your time and labor building is probably the biggest factor.
I have $2500 into it me time that’s a hard one I never kept track and I did it over the winter so it was over a few months but could have worked an hour this day or 10hrs that day or non at all cause it was to cold. lol

Is it 1/4" steel? What's the length and diameter of the cook chamber? That will help to price it against some of the commercial units.

The way the market works, it worth what someone is willing to pay for it. No reason you can't start at say 5k and if you get no hits, come down a bit. I'm not saying it's worth 5k (see my first sentence) - that's an arbitrary number. Me, I'd rather have a custom over a storebought...........

Fire box is 1/4”but the tank is 3/16”
Cc is 66”L x 36” diameter fire box is 34.75”x34.75”x22.75”h

Very good point and I fully understand that I also like the custom over store that is one reason I built mine after have a store bought one lol
