Hello! I am a total newbie to smoking, but am planning on changing that very soon. I love grilling and I think this is a natural progression of that.  As of right now, I do not have a smoker, but I am designing one and hope to have it completed in the coming months.  I am a machinist by profession and a blacksmith by hobby.  Metal work is not new to me, but There are enough dynamics involved in this that I felt I would be better off seeking the advice and help of those who have already made the mistakes I am about to.  That being said I thank you for letting me join your forum and I hope you do not have to yell at me very often.

Welcome aboard! This is the best place I know for sharing ideas on smoking, grilling, curing, etc. There are lots of friendly and knowledgeable folks here who genuinely enjoy helping one another. Looking forward to your input, and just ask when you need anything...someone here will surely have the answer.
