My name is Paul, I have been smoking for several years, using Weber, Charbroil, and electric. I finally decided to step into the big time, and bought a Yoder Loaded Wichita. My specialty is NC pulled pork (eastern style). In Ohio we have over cooked, over sauced , Yankee bbq.  I hope to bring true bbq to the Great Lakes. I look forward to swapping recipes, and learning from veteran smokers.

Yep!  I went on some business trips to the Carolinas and the Q there was more like oven-roasted with a hint of smoke. Here it's more like THIS IS SMOKED MEAT CAN YOU TASTE IT?

I'm in Ohio too-near Youngstown. There is a restaurant in Ashtabula called Brickets that really inspired me. I'm new to the forum (roll call coming soon) but have been smoking for over a year.

Hey Paul, Hello and welcome from a smoker in East Texas

Thanks Gary....My smoking experience has been Carolina and Kc, but I am dedicating this summer to Texas Bbq....looking forward to brisket and Johnny Football!!!

I live in Eastlake, about 10 miles east of Cleveland. I've been to Sugarcreek a few times....good wine and cheese down there..

Texas BBQ sounds good to me, let me know if I can help.
