Hello! I am looking for a decent tool to move coals around and scrape out the ash in my offset smoker. I see a couple online, but wondering if there are some other options out there. I would like one with the curved scraper part and not a straight one if possible.

Thank you!

I use a fireplace poker or tongs to move the wood around, and a shop vac to clean up the ash.

I use one to move the coals around, try to keep them from getting too spread out.

Thank you for the link. Any pros/cons with the two versions light/heavy weight?

I can't imagine why there would be a need for two weights ???

I would think the light would get the job done. It would in my firebox.

That's a pretty cool ash tool! Would slide perfectly underneath the grates on an okie joe.

Weber makes one as well, but I think it's a little too tall.

I have tons of thin strips of cedar from a remodel, so I just use those (quickly).
