We have been having some nasty weather here for the past two and a half months. It's frustrating because I want to get out and use the smokers, the only way I will learn is by doing but man. We have had a few nice days, but not many so far. Today would have been great. But a few hours turkey hunting, then "honey do list", and the day was about shot.
On the bright side though, got a deal on some ST. Louis style ribs and some full size pork spare ribs. Also picked an eye-round roast to smoke.
If Old Ma Nature is reading this, please let up a bit for a while. Can't use my smoker when you are acting all nasty. LOL

I hear ya. I am in Pa. I smoke all winter long. Wind, snow and all. It's nicer thou with good weather.

Yep, it sucks when the weather won't let go.
But you get 4 seasons, hardwoods grow in your yard, you get a white Christmas, and other stuff...
I'd almost trade places.....

Naw, I wouldn't... o_O

I understand fully what you speak of. We had tornado warning on Friday. None happened, but we did get a few mirco-bursts. Keep the chin up better days are coming.

Chris

Just venting a little I guess, I apologize.
Have some nice days in the forecast this week. Hit the woods in the AM, fire up the smoker in the PM.

I know what you mean. Snow on a Sunday 80 degrees Wednesday! I got smoking in Sunday before I left on a company trip. It'll get better.... I hope

You're not kidding! Better weather ahead though. I smoked a butt from Friday evening to Saturday morning but Mother Nature had to throw me a curve. My therm started beeping at 1:00 am. The power went out because of the storms and I use an MES 30. Thankfully it only lasted two hours and the meat was saved.

I smoked all winter with my MES. Insanely impressed. MB gasser is listed on CL... We had an AWESOME weekend here in Ohio, hopefully it hit you too.

We had 3 tornados within a 20 miles radius last wed night, the winds tore my trees up pretty good and made my deck look like a trash dump.

I live in the windy city of Wellington, New Zealand. I'm wondering If anyone here has tried using a wind directional chimney cap similar to this one:
