This was dinner 2 nights ago. A couple of strip steaks and hashbrown casserole.

Rubbed and wating.

6 good sized Russets freshly grated.

Along with fresh grated Colby cheese, cream of mushroom soup, cooked thick sliced bacon, onions, salt, and pepper.

.
All goodies mixed together with more cheese and bacon o top. Loaded into 2 8" CI pans. Then into the oven for 45 minutes at 375 degrees.
Recipe is easy: One can cream of chicken soup, half of a large onion, pint of sour cream. For the cheese and bacon? Use to your hearts desire!
Was going to toss the steaks on a grill. But the weather had other ideas. So they went into a CI pan.

The hashbrowns made the steaks look small! But they were plenty big enough. Went to bed stuffed. I'll say that much.

Looks great, I like to burn 1 in the cast iron even when it is nice out, that's my problem, like it any which way lol, been messing around with home made hash browns and have concluded they work better for me by soaking a little while in water to remove a lot of the starch,

Beautiful. I love that hashbrown casserole. It’s one of those foods you keep eating too much of before you realize half of the pan or casserole dish is gone!

I’m surprised you’re up this early to post it! I’d still be in a food coma.

Man that looks soooo good! I love a good steak but those Hash browns would steal the show for me! Nice cook Steve !

Thank you! I usually soak them too. But didn't this time.

Yeah, I wanted to stay in bed. But, I'm working today. Thanks for the compliment.

Thanks Travis! Those hashbrowns did steal some of the thunder from the steaks!

That whole meal looks great Steve but you sure do have a way with taters. You're unending array of different things to do with them never ceases to amaze me. Great job my friend!!

Looks great , and the smell of beef searing in a cast iron pan is something special by itself .

Man that looks good! I love hash browns any way, especially like that, just never made it in CI. Steak looks awesome too, but would be half for supper and half for breakfast!

Looks Great, Steve!!
Would have enjoyed better pics of the Steaks, but maybe that's just me. :emoji_disappointed:
Seems they were treated like "Just a side".
Nice Job!!
Like.

I forgot to mention about that sweet heat Pit Boss rub. That stuff's pretty good! I like all the rubs they have except for the "smoke infused" ones . they taste like fake smoke to me. My favorite for beef is the java chop house.

Boy howdy Steve does that ever look inviting, big Like! I just picked up a couple bakers at the market in order to do something on my CI skillets, even tho I'm trying to cut back on the carbs for a bit. RAY
