Hello all, picked up my UDS after the first of the year, and I have found myself making excuses to use it every weekend.

I bought it from a family that makes them close by, and used it in the stock formation for about 3 weeks before I started modding it. Hey, it's much cheaper to mod that my previous addictions, like sand toys and 2500hd diesels!

The barrel came with 6 holes near the top, used to slide rebar through and hang meat on.  I have seen 10 pieces of various meat, like ribs, chicken and tri tip, all smoking at the same time in a barrel like mine.

Stock, it came with a plow disk for the coals.  It worked OK.  I could get 4-5 hours of cook time off of one burn.  My first mod was fabbing up a no-weld basket.  Now I get 24 hour cook times with temps between 280 and 220.  I am currently waiting for time to install my ball valve.
