I recently got an Old Country Picos and did my first smoke on it a few weeks ago.
It was a short cook, chicken and pork tenderloins.

I plan on doing another this weekend.
I'm going to do a couple of racks of ribs which I feel comfortable with.

Question I have is I have a small ( 1 1/2 Lb) Brisket flat the wife picked up somewhere.
Is that too small to smoke? I'm wondering if since it's so small will it get much smoke or a decent bark?
I doubt it will take it very long to cook.

Sounds like you are off to a good start. I’d definitely hit that little brisket flat with some smoke just don’t let it dry out. Don’t forget we like seeing pics!

Small or large it takes a long time to break down the tough fibers in brisket so plan on 6/8 hours unless you turn it up to 350 and go hot and fast, in which case it may come down to 4 hours.
Hot and fast will also insure more bark and smoke flavor.

For those smallish flats, I swear by SmokinAl SmokinAl 's method.
Here the link. No wonder could not find it. Was searching Jakes.

Thanks all.
Looks like I have a plan now.
I'll see how I do with Al's method.
I'll put up some pics of the cook.

Thanks for the tips. Smoker ran clean and wanted to settle in between 240 & 250. Did Al's method minus the injection since I don't have an injector. I pulled it a little soon so it was a little tuff. Ribs were great
