Noob question

I have a Pit Boss series 2 electric analog smoker. Does elevation affect how long you'd smoke? Which wood is better chips or pellets? I am starting to think this thing is only good for jerky!

For your smoker, from what I read it should be chips. I dont know how elevation would affect it.

What kind of temps are you getting with it. If you are lacking smoke flavor, you could try an amnps tray

You can cook up any kind of smoked meat in that. What have you tried other than jerky? It’s designed to run with wood chips. I assume you add more every half hour is so. I made a lot of very good Q on my electric MES40 before I moved to charcoal smoker.
