hi, my name is curtis from ne pa. been grillin on a weber for awhile now, and just got the mes 30" digital smoker and a cover from amazon. i got pretty good results with my weber/indirect heat, ribs and boston butt, and can't wait to try a regular smoker instead of a gas grill.

SE PA here. We got some other NE PA here too.

All I know about NE PA is most of the good hunting & fishing places up there!!!

I practically lived up there when my Dad was still with us.

First off Welcome Curtis to SMF. You'll like it here for there are alot of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking. Now there are alot of proven recipes for some amazing things here too. So if you need sign up for the E-Course it's free and it will give you the basics of smoking and some good methods to use also. So the next big thing for you to do is go out and get you something to smoke and if you happen to have any questions just post it here and we will be happy to answer them for you.

well, my last addiction was homebrewing, started with a mr beer kit last thanksgiving. brewed about 25 batches, taking a little break from brewing, figured the wife wouldn't mind a new addiction. i'll be breaking it in this weekend, and figure a couple racks of baby backs would be the simplest place to start
