"Have I eaten at any local spots ? " HECK YEAH ! I have been here a year now ( moved back to the States from Mexico ) and I have found the local BBQ here is fantastic ! Buzz & Ned's , Benny's , and the one I just tried I was VERY happy with was The Halligan Bar ... I was impressed !
Now if ya have any suggestions PLEASE tell me !
I'll be smokin a couple a briskets this week -end for a Wedding ( ya can follow my Q-View under Brisket help (please) ) So if ya smell SUM-TIN Good in Da Richmond area ....That would be ME !

Man are you ready for your life to change? I tried Buzz & Neds and thought it was ok. People in Richmond RAVE about how good it is. Its ok... You want a life altering BBQ experience? drive on over to the southside on walmart-way off of midlothian turnpike and check out Q BBQ. Man they do it right. The owner was on the pitmasters tv show, his name is Tuffy. He's there from time to time and people are always talking to him and asking about the wood and the smokers. Anyways, all that stuff aside i've never had better ribs, and everything else including the sides are really something to write home about. Not sure what part of the richmond area you live in but I hear they are expanding to the West end soon too.
