Hi Everyone,
I got a Traeger for Christmas and so far have only used it twice. Third time is today. I did a great pork but and an ok first brisket, but on that brisket I struggled with keeping the fire lit, and got an E error message. This made me afraid to try it again until today. I'm reading that the Traegers don't really put out all that much smoke, especially with the Costco pellet blend, which i got with the smoker, as that's where it was purchased. So I'm really interested in learning more in general, and also possibly changing my pellets and adding an AMNS to get more smokiness into the meat. Thanks for being such a welcoming, helpful community. From what I've read so far, everyone seems very encouraging and full of good advice. Looking forward to learning from you all!

Welcome to the forum!
I think they recommend the tube smoker for a pellet grill.
I think the tray will get too hot & the pellets will burn up.

Welcome Annie!!
I can't help you with the Traeger, but as for the Amazing choices:

AMNS---(6 X 6 and 6 X 8 Tray) Is only for Dust, and for smoker temps of below 200°, because the thin walls allow burning to go through interior walls to the next row & burn all the Dust real quick.

AMNPS---(5 X 8 Tray with specially designed interior walls to prevent jumping of rows) Good for Pellets or Dust. Good for Cold or Hot Smoking, in smaller Smokers, but Best at lower Altitudes (Below 2000').

AMNTS---Tube Smoker (Pellets only)---Good for use at any Altitude. Best for Larger Smoker (Bigger than an MES), and recommended for Gassers & Pellet Poopers.
