Living in Quebec Canada just north of the VT. and N.Y. borders. A few miles from where lake Champlain ends.

Want to have some fun in semi-retirement so a mobile catering service feels right to me.

Constantly amazed by the cool rigs I see all over the USA. Time to introduce these smokers to my area. Traditional spits for doing a hog or conventional bbq  is all that I see in my neck of the woods.

My plan is to see how much info I can gather from the experiences of the members of this forum.Avoiding as many mistakes as possible but doubt I will get it all right the first time. I am recycling myself to begin a small catering business. Unfortunately a real hassle to buy a US made trailer and import into Canada. More restrictions than ya can shake a stick at.

was looking at the cool stuff RANDYA has built and I am sure searching this site will supply many ideas.

Sorry for the novice lingo.

have two new 60" x96" trailers and two 275 gal oil tanks as well as a  48"diameter round tank about 96". the later may be overkill.

I want a bbq grill on the backside of the smoker . smoker one side grill on the other.

Want to do the work myself but will have a pro finish weld everything at the end. Also local access to a plasma cutter.

Ideas or threads of builds using 275 oil tanks would be helpful and especially photos.

Want this ready for the spring so time to get cracking.

Tips are greatly appreciated. Not tips in the form of money but advice or maybe money in the final analysis. Kidding guys and gals.

Hope you like my smoker trailer tow rig. Might call myself FIREHOUSE BBQ.

    Take care

Thanks Dave , a new forum can sometimes be intimidating to use. This one is quite straight forward but will take you up on the offer if I get lost. I am also building a bus and was unable to get onto Skoolie.net. for their forums.

So far this site is really good...lots of good info. recipes that are delicious and builds that make me envious.

A little lery of cutting into an oil tank. I have seen a few accidents? with tanks. ie gas tanks, cars, motorcycle and a tank from a torch set go off the valve broke when it got tipped over. Scary stuff and always lethal or catastrophic injuries gads even large truck wheels and tires.... trying to be safe. Too old for nonsense.

looking forward to chatting again
