I've been lurking here for quite awhile and just decided to open an account. Oops, I already had one. :) I've been propane smoking for years and I'll have a Smokin-it #1 here in the next week or so.

Thanks guys!
Welcome aboard. How’s the capacity in the #1 vs. the #2
They don't give a cubic footage but instead call it a "18 lb capacity" as opposed to #2's "30 lb capacity". It'll definitely be smaller than my gas smoker but if its too small I'll snag a #2 and sell this one. A guy on their forum mentioned a 17 lb shoulder fit and somebody else a 15 lb turkey so that'd work for me. Sounds like it cold smokes well using AMZN tray or tubes. Plus there was a 10% Cyber Monday discount and a free cover. Normally I find out about the sale the day after its over.

Welcome from California!
I'm cold smoking bacon tonight in my MES 30.
It was planned for tomorrow, but I was doing some ribs on my gas burner.
So I decided to go for it in the cool of the night.
Almost time to rest it for the night.
I was actually looking at a Smoken It yesterday. But think I'll wait for the Black Friday sale...
2019. LOL!
