Hi everyone. Dave here, new to smoking so I thought I would I've right in. I'm in the process of building a mini reverse flow smoker. I'm lineman by trade and we trim a lot of trees by the powerlines andor drop them altogether. So far I have stock piled some cherry, oak, and a little apple. I should have the smoker done with in a couple of week. I will upload pics when I get a chance. Any recommendation on first smoke?
Thanks in advance
Love the site here
Dave

Hello and welcome from East Texas. This is a great site, lots of information and great people that are willing to throw in their two cents worth on about anything   ......... If you are new to smoking start with something easy, Chicken or Pork Shoulder both are real forgiving. Get to know your new smoker, pay attention to how it cooks, the temp, how much fuel it burns, damper settings, you get the picture. It will make future cooks easier.
