Hi all!

I'm a newbie to smoking and just recently inherited a big green egg from a relative who didn't want or use it. I've been doing tri-tips with a mixture of oak/hickory and kiawe chips and things have been going well but I'm interested in learning more.

I'm in the SF bay area and work as a devops engineer. I look forward to learning and contributing here as much as possible!

Welcome to the board! settle in, look around, ask questions. Look for the term BGE for Big Green Egg information.

Well if you want to learn Q'ing smoking you have come to a very good source. Lot of knowledge gets thrown around here...do's don'ts etc.

Hey there from So Cal. It’s good to have you here. I can guarantee that you will find answers to virtually any barbecue question you can think up. There are more ideas here than you could ever imagine on your own. I look forward to seeing your future Q views.

Welcome to the site, I'm not sure how many BGE smokers we have on board, but there are a few and very knowledgeable. So if you have any questions fire away.
