Newbie beer can chicken rub

My first beer can chicken turned out good (sorry no pics) I used one package of buttermilk dressing dry mix, salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder.  Rubbed with a little olive oil and then rubbed with the rub and put some in the beer can also.  I use the that looks right method of measuring for this one, the skin was a little salty but good and the flavor was just about right, you got it almost as an after thought, very subtle.  All in all i think i will experiment some more with other flavors, but keep this one for future use.
 
Haven't heard of using buttermilk dressing mix before, got to remember that one. Thanks.

i made beer  can chicken more  then a  few times i use  this chicken  rub i  found works geat and  it  allways turns  out  good
